Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Public Notice

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) has scheduled the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve re-accreditation for the Sheriff’s Office. The Public Safety Communications Accreditation is also scheduled for an initial on-site assessment for the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center.   The accreditation program requires agencies to comply with standards that address agency functions such as: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.

Due to COVID-19 and as part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments by emailing CALEA at calea@calea.org.  When emailing comments, be sure to add Greenville County Sheriff’s Office to the subject line. Comments will be taken by the CALEA assessors Chief Vincent Line, Lt. Colonel Michael E. Palkovics and Ms. Zeta Fail.  Agency employees and the public are also invited to offer comments by telephone at 864-467-5573 on Tuesday May 19, 2020 between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Anyone wishing to submit written comments concerning the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. 13575 Heathcote Boulevard, Suite 320, Gainesville, Virginia, 20155. 703-352-4225.
