Center for Advanced Training

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office Center for Advanced Training is a 63-acre state of the art facility that includes an automated target system weapons range, a driver training track and an administrative building with a classroom. The weapons range also has another classroom for additional training.

The property was seized from a convicted drug dealer and construction began in 1991 using volunteer labor, donations from the local business community, seized drug assets, the support of the 391st Battalion of the United States Army Reserves and the S.C. National Guard. The development of this facility was accomplished with no expense to Greenville County taxpayers.

The training staff handles not only the training needs of Deputies of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office but also the training for other municipalities in Greenville County. State and Federal law enforcement agencies also utilize the training facility.
