(Non-Certified: Less than 1 year of experience with or without State certification)
SALARY: $ 16.58
A 4% raise in salary is awarded to candidates after successful completion of their introductory period.
DEPUTY II (Certified)
SALARY: $ 17.24
Pay Incentives: Deputy I & II
Note: Maximum of 15% incentive with a combination of Bachelor's Degree and Experience. Maximum of 20% with a combination of Master's Degree and Bi-Lingual (Spanish).South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy: Once employed as a police officer, you will attend the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in Columbia for 12 weeks. Certified officers from other states may qualify for a six-week cross over training at the academy.
Overtime Pay: Any hours worked in excess of 80 hours
(bi-weekly) is compensated at a rate of time and a half.
