Personnel

Mission Statement

The mission of the Administration Division is to support the Sheriff's Office in maintaining the integrity of the agency, and to supply the Human Resources services to the men and women of the Sheriff's Office who serve the community. The members of this division take pride in ensuring that the agency meets the standards of the accreditation process through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and the South Carolina Police Accreditation Coalition (SCPAC).

Accounting/Payroll- This unit handles all salaries and expenditures relating to personnel, they also maintain personnel files and manage the human resources related responsibilities.

Financial Management- The finance unit is responsible for maintaining the budget along with accounts payable.  This duty requires constant updating and balancing of the fiscal budget to meet the ever changing financial demands of the agency.

Personnel/Recruitment- This unit is responsible for recruiting and hiring all new employees that work within the Sheriff's Office. The unit also creates programs that assist with the retention of qualified personnel along with conducting background investigations on potential employees.

Professional Compliance Unit- The primary responsibility of this unit is to meet, maintain and document all of the standards required to maintain both national and state Law Enforcement Accreditation through CALEA.

Public Information Office- The PIO is responsible for coordinating with the media to release all pertinent information to the community and to inform the citizens of Greenville County of any alerts that may affect public safety.  This unit also dedicates a portion of their time to working with local charities to assist families in need within our community.
