The Uniform Patrol Division is made up
of dedicated deputies who take pride in the work they do. These deputies are
often faced with life-threatening situations and must act in a moments
notice. One example of this is when a deputy saved the life of a suicidal woman.
As a deputy approached this woman she jumped off of a bridge that spanned over a
busy interstate. This Uniform Patrol deputy risked his own life by reaching over
the side and grabbing the woman as she was falling.
The deputies assigned to this division
are also relied upon by all other divisions in the Sheriff’s Office. Uniform
Patrol served over 11,000 warrants, seized 50 pounds of illegal narcotics and
assisted in a variety of long term investigations.
